I LOVE LOVE.

Define love. How would you define love? You may use the definition given by the dictionary or from the internet but still I’m having a hard time to define it and find the truth hidden on the four letter word. Hmm, or you can use your own thoughts and words and construct a definition of love. Let’s dig out some common gist about it.

LOVE IS BLIND. Love doesn’t have any sense of sight, so it is possible that love is blind. Too literal eh? But, if you define that love is blind, isn’t just so right that you with the sense of sight make the necessary implications for the love to see. However, you tend to blind yourself to see and live with the facts about love and not the truth hence making it blind. In addition to it, it doesn’t have the light that beams on your system, making the feeling of love a free-flowing-canopy over your eyes hence making you blind about love.

LOVE IS PATIENT. LOVE IS KIND… biblical definition? Or biblical description? I believe, Paul describe love in an utmost respect. Beyond every description he wrote was his own experience about love. And so much of his experiences, he gives a justification that I believe you too can define the how’s and why’s of every description about love he gave.

‘LOVE COVERS OVER A MULTITUDE OF SIN’. I believe this is a definition that covers the romantic and ‘none’-romantic side of love all at the same time. A love that overflows way more beyond what we can imagine. It is the love given by God when he gave his Son as atoning sacrifice for our salvation, his unfailing love for us despite all the resentments and wickedness that resides in our hearts. He made it clear in his words that God is love. We are to obey and follow his commands with all of our heart, mind and soul. Love covers over a multitude of sin through our Lord, Jesus Christ.

I have had a hard time defining what love is back then. Now, I’m sharing what I’ve learned and keep on yearning about this love, a love that conquers all the odds of perplexities. Hmm…how would you define love then? (No worries, I believe any definition will suit the four letter word besides we’re talking about love.)Hence, more than the definition, more than the meaning, more than whatever reasoning, let’s just love one another in genuine and selfless means like what our Father is doing.

Spread the LOVE.
